Учебный проект «Укрепление потенциала НПО»

In the period of May 11-13, 2016 took place the training session, sustained through the project «Capacity building for NGOs in organisational development, policy dialogue and influence», financed by European Union technical assistance project „Civil Society. Dialogue for Progress”.

The overall aim of the training project: Strengthening and empowering NGOs to fulfil their role and take active part in policy process and reforms of the country by creating and implementing a Strategic Plan for their NGOs.

 28 representatives from 18 NGOs participated. 

 The target audience at the end of the training got to:

•  Know the areas of NGOs sustainability, how to strengthen them and grow; 
• Understand government budget process and know key questions and methods of budget monitoring;
• Understand policy making cycles, what we mean by policy analysis and know methods of citizen engagement;
• Understand the terms of: lobbying, advocacy, campaigning, PR and media, how and when to use them; 
• Know how and be able to make and implement a strategic and operational plan for their NGOs;
• Appreciate more the value of sharing information among themselves and mounting common efforts in lobbying and advocacy. 

Participants were selected for the training based on the following criteria:

•  to be a legally registered NGO;
• to not have an inappropriate or illicit activity;
• NGO that would likely have impact on national or local policy;
• NGOs that are representatives of other NGOs and those with potential of multiplied effect, replicating the training to more NGOs will be given some preference;
• Commitment to complete, implement and report back on their plan;
• English language was an asset.
